Upon completing any readings, I always feel compelled to categorize where a book fits and ask, what is its purpose? With “How to Become a Champion Martial Arts Athlete”, it was obvious this has the flavor of a “self help” or “self improvement” book. The writers are martial artists who took it upon themselves to pull from their experiences and present their ideas in a neat package that can be shared with students, and instructors alike.

Indeed, that was the writers’ intent and that is exactly what they delivered.

To those who seek this book, I stress, read the title carefully and understand what the authors define as a “champion martial arts athlete, or as referenced throughout the book, an “ace martial arts athlete”. They have identified the ace martial arts athlete as representative of a subgroup within the sports world and the vast world of martial arts sport competition. They are contenders, individuals, who have vested their time, and efforts to rise to the top of their craft, which is to become a competitive ace martial arts athlete.

The book encompasses the culture, history, and the world of the martial arts. Demonstrated throughout the book are words of wisdom thought, direction and lessons on how to succeed, not just in the arena, but also in life and its journeys.

Its’ format is instructional, one of council and advice; its’ perspective is one that others have tried to present and seldom achieve. From beginning to end, from youth to adult, it is a refresher course bringing it all together: training of the mind, body and spirit, an Ace Martial Artist for Life.

We here at Martialforce.com  recommend this book. The Authors are exceptional Martial Artist and caring human beings that pulled together to write this book and pass on valuable information. If you want to gain an edge this book is for you.
